Two standout Yorkshire transactions, which involved the amazing work of our dedicated team of accountants, have been shortlisted at this year’s Insider Yorkshire Dealmaker Awards 2025.
The awards, which celebrate the most impressive deals and advisory talent across Yorkshire, have recognised two transactions we supported with corporate finance and tax advice, both nominated across key Deal of the Year categories.
The first shortlisted deal saw Voestalpine Railway Systems, the Austrian-based global rail technology group, acquire Doncaster manufacturer Hird Rail Services, a specialist in insulated rail joint technology.
The transaction strengthens Voestalpine’s UK presence and establishes the Doncaster site as a centre of excellence for insulated joint production, helping to secure skilled jobs and expand the company’s capabilities within the UK market.
In the second shortlisted deal, Activate Group, a leading provider of accident management and repair solutions, completed its acquisition of Avant Group.
The move combines Avant’s expertise in collision repair, body shop management and digital repair networks with Activate’s established reputation in fleet and insurance markets, creating a stronger and more integrated service offering for clients nationwide.
Our team worked closely with other advisers on both deals to ensure a smooth completion, providing specialist financial and tax input to help deliver successful outcomes for all parties.
