We are very excited to announce our 2024 Charity of the year, Candlelighters.
Candlelighters supports families facing children’s cancer in Yorkshire. They get involved in a wide range of projects to help ordinary families who are facing extraordinary circumstances.
The team at Brown Butler are looking forward to fundraising for this wonderful charity that provides expert care and support to families experiencing children’s cancer.

The team got in the Halloween spirit early with another Bakeathon for Candlelighters!
Two of our team members did the Candlelighters 150 Miles in September for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
Weronika Ryglicka walked 154 miles by walking with her dog, Arya.
Joe King walked and ran 168 miles – on his final day, he ran home from work in the rain which was over 11 miles!
Between them they have raised an impressive £582.50!

We hosted a fantastic 2-day charity bakeathon, with the proceeds going to Candlelighters!
In March, we delivered 82 Easter eggs to Candlelighters, so they could share with children in Yorkshire who were bravely fighting cancer.
Our Charity of the Year, Candlelighters, visited us to tell us all about their wonderful work to support the families of children with cancer.
We’re looking forward to helping them raise much needed funds to continue their work!
The Brown Butler Dream Team gave the Business Fives Football Tournament their best shot, with a promising 6:0 win in the first match. ⚽
There were ups and downs with a 2:1 loss followed by a final 3:0 win in the first round and a record goal scored in the first 106 seconds – watch out Mbappé!
December 2023 – In total, we proudly raised £3,300 for Zarach during 2023 through a variety of events and donations. Thank you to everyone who supported us.
We conquered the Leeds Abbey Dash 10k on Sunday 22 October to raise money for Zarach!

We are excited to announce that we have raised a grand total of £5452.98 for our #charity of the year for 2022, St Gemma’s Hospice.
Our team has loved supporting this fantastic charity and all their hard work.
We are proud to announce that we raised over £2400 for St Gemma’s Hospice from our Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge on 21 July!
Today, we were able to officially hand over the cheque.

Brown Butler is taking on the 3 peaks!
We have a team of ‘walkers’ taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge on Thursday 21st July to raise money for our Charity of the Year – St Gemma’s Hospice!
The challenge takes on the peaks of Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough and is a daunting 24.5-mile hike that includes a massive 1585m of ascent.
The aim is to complete the hike in 12 hours – a challenge outside of the team’s comfort zone. But if you’ve been following our social media pages, you’ll see everyone is training hard in the hope we can raise as much money as possible for St Gemma’s Hospice.
The team so far are;

In 2021, our Charity Of The Year was Leeds Mind. We had a great time working with and fundraising for them and were very excited to present this donation to the organisation.

A number of sweets and treats lovingly crafted and brought in for our charity bakeathon helped us raise £140 for Leeds Mind.
A virtual race night helped raise much needed funds for our official charity for 2020, Martin House Hospice. Our generous racegoers received a goody bag as a thank you for digging deep to support this worthy cause.
Five members of our team took on a tough 90-mile bike ride to raise money for Martin House Hospice for Children and Young People. Our riders faced a challenging journey from our office in Leeds to Filey on the East Yorkshire coast, climbing almost 4,000 feet. They smashed their original target, raising a total of £2,558.

We were delighted to hand over a cheque to Yorkshire Air Ambulance – our official charity of 2019. From all the various events we held throughout 2019 we raised a fantastic £5,011.24. This will fund two missions in the helicopter, and we’re delighted to be able to make a difference.
Brown Butler team members, James White & John Brear, took part in the Yorkshire version of the Beaujolais Run in aid of our official charity of 2019 – Yorkshire Air Ambulance, raising more than £1,700 from their great wine adventure!

A fantastic time was had by all at the Brown Butler Big Fat Quiz Of The Centenary at Congratulations to the winning team, Jedward, and commiserations to Four Candles, who took home the wooden spoon! All money raised on the night was donated to our official charity of 2019 – Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
We were delighted to celebrate Yellow Yorkshire Day in aid of our charity of the year Yorkshire Air Ambulance. Everyone wore yellow and we also held a bake sale to raise money for this fantastic charity!
In the first five months of 2019 we raised a fantastic £1,305 for our official charity of the year, Yorkshire Air Ambulance. Thanks go to everyone who has participated in dress down days, raffles and cake sales, we really appreciate the support for this amazing cause.
