As we reach the end of another busy year, we are proud to look back on everything the Brown Butler team has achieved in support of our Charity of the Year, Candlelighters.
From long walks to bakeathons, our people have once again shown incredible enthusiasm for raising funds and awareness for children and families affected by childhood cancer.
Baking, dressing up and getting creative
We started the year with not one but two days of baking, as the team hosted a Pink It Up Week bakeathon.
Cakes, biscuits, brownies and sweet treats of every kind filled the office, raising money and plenty of smiles.
Pink It Up Week continued with a pink dress-down day, where suits were swapped for bright, bold outfits to show support for Candlelighters’ campaign.
Autumn brought even more delicious competition with our Halloween bake off, which saw team members showcase their spookiest baking skills in aid of the charity.
Stepping up for Candlelighters
Our adventurous colleagues laced up their walking boots for a 25km charity walk from Saltaire to Leeds, raising vital funds along the way.
The route was challenging, but the team spirit (and the sunshine) carried everyone to the finish line.
Elsewhere, the office swapped spreadsheets for sport by joining dozens of local organisations in the Business Five Leeds Football Tournament, all playing to raise money for Candlelighters.
Spreading festive cheer
In December, the team has come together once again to support children spending Christmas in hospital.
We were delighted to donate nearly 70 advent calendars, which will be delivered to young people undergoing cancer treatment. A small gesture that we hope brings joy during a difficult time.
We also made a £1,300 donation in lieu of client calendars, ensuring our festive spending contributed directly to Candlelighters’ vital work.
Continuing our commitment
After a remarkable year of fundraising in 2024, we have been proud to choose Candlelighters as our Charity of the Year once again.
Their support for families across Yorkshire is extraordinary, and we are honoured to play a part in helping them continue their work.
Thank you to everyone at Brown Butler who baked, walked, donated, cheered, dressed in pink or took part in any way.
