Brown Butler on the pitch for charity at Leeds Business Fives Tournament!

Fielding a team from across the firm, we laced up our football boots for the Business Fives corporate charity football tournament.

As the nation got into the World Cup spirit, our team faced off against fellow businesses from across the region in a day that combined sporting spirit with a worthwhile cause.

We made a strong start, progressing through the group stages with victories of 4-2 and 1-0 before rounding off the group phase with a 0-0 draw.  After facing two knockout round opponents, we went down 3-0 and 2-0 in what was an increasingly competitive bracket.

We played in support of Community Action to Create Hope (CATCH), a cause close to the hearts of everyone who took part and our Charity of the Year.

Speaking after the tournament, our Director Nicola Taylor said: “It was a brilliant afternoon and a great opportunity to get out of the office and do something meaningful together.

“We are proud to have once again supported CATCH, which does so much to empower young people in Leeds.”

The 2026 FIFA World Cup captured the imagination of football fans across the country, so events like Business Fives serve as a timely reminder of what the game does best – bringing people together.

For us, as a professional services firm, that spirit translates directly into greater workplace wellbeing.

“Research consistently shows that shared experiences outside the office strengthen team bonds, improve morale and support the kind of positive working culture that benefits everyone,” added Nicola.

“So, we regularly host events throughout the year that give our staff a chance to unwind and support the causes that mean the most to them.”
