With more than 25 years’ experience, I am now an Audit and Accounts Manager working alongside John Brear and Jeremy Sampson, at Leeds-based independent firm, Brown Butler Chartered Accountants. I began my accountancy journey in 1990 as a trainee and qualified in 1995 as a Chartered Accountant (ICAEW). The clients I have dealt with have been both varied in size and sector, giving me great experience of industry and the issues and challenges that businesses face. Currently I co-ordinate a team with an overall portfolio that ranges from small scale startups to multi-million pound groups, together with overseeing the technical and disclosure compliance for the work that we perform. I am delighted that whilst in this role I still have contact with some of the many clients I have worked with previously.
